FENZ has confirmed completion of the work to calculate the holiday remediation payments for remaining 76 firefighters for their annual holidays taken between 1 January 2010 and 31 December 2017. The holiday remediation payments will be included in their Wednesday 17 July pay.

Work has commenced to reconcile the firefighters holiday pay for holidays taken between 1 January 2018 (when holiday pay calculations included overtime) and 16 January 2019 (when holidays started to be paid based on when the holidays were actually taken).

If there are any amounts owed, this will be due to the timing difference between being paid in advance (based on their leave group) and when the holidays were actually taken. FENZ is are expecting that the payment for any amounts owed will be able to be paid by the end of September 2019.

Once this work has been completed, the remediation work for former employees will commence.
