Strike Action

The Union has filed a Notice of Strike Action which takes effect from 0800 hours 17 October 2009 – 0800 hour 24 October 2009

The Union has also filed a further Notice of Strike Action to take effect from 0800 hours 24 October 2009 - 0800 hours 31 October 2009.

The Strike Notices are as detailed in Newsletter No. 35 – 24 September 2009.

Resumption of Normal Duties 0800 hours 15 October 2009 – 0800 hours 17 October 2009

As a consequence of the agreement as detailed in Newsletter No. 36 – 30 September 2009, which included no issuing of further strike action while in active bargaining, no Notice was issued that covered the period 0800 hours 15 October – 0800 hours 17 October 2009.

Members are therefore instructed to perform normal duties during this period.

As advised in previous Newsletters, this means undertaking normal work that occurs and arises from 0800 hours 15 October – 0800 hours 17 October.

It does not mean undertaking or completing work that occurred or arose prior to that date and during the currency of the strike action – that is – there will be no “catch-up” work undertaken.
