Additional pay claims for operational staff are to be processed as follows for the duration of the strike action.

  1. All individuals shall continue to fill in paper claim forms.
  2. Firefighters are to fax their claim forms through to the relevant Rosters Office within the appropriate area.
  3. Officers are to fax their claim forms through to the relevant Rosters Office (i.e. SO’s to Parnell, SSO’s to Papatoetoe).

In the meantime, all additional claim forms that have been faxed through to the National Pay Office since 22 July are to be delivered to the relevant Rosters Office as detailed above.

These forms need to be delivered as soon as possible, to allow Rosters staff to enter this information into SMS prior to Thursday 17 September 2009.

We have been told that staff wanting to do Return to Work Duties will have to do them at District HQ and they do not intend to reimburse your travel costs, “you are getting an enhanced pay and you can fund your own travel”. We have since got an agreement that the travel distance reimbursement will be paid for travel to District HQ.


Union calls for Operational Review into Devastating House Fire

Following a devastating house fire in Milldale north of Auckland yesterday the Local has written to the Acting National Commander formally asking for Fire and Emergency to undertake an operational review.
