NZPFU SUPPORTS NURSES SAFE STAFFING RALLIES

The ratio of nurses, midwives, health care assistants is at crisis levels.

The NZPFU urges members to support the NZNO on May 9 - Day of Action. 

  • For those not working, or able to take a break, we request members attend the rallies in your area. 
  • If you are going past a rally don’t forget toot!
  • You can also share the social media tiles to spread the word to all your friends and contacts!

  • Auckland, 2-4pm on Park Road near Columbus Cafe outside Auckland City Hospital, TBC at North Shore Hospital, TBC at Waitakere Hospital, TBC at Middlemore Hospital
  • Auckland, 2-4pm outside Elmwood Village, 131 Hill Road Manurewa
  • Hamilton, 1-2pm at the corner of Ohaupo Road and Lorne Street
  • Tauranga, 1-2pm at Cameron Road outside Tauranga Hospital

Return to Work Duties

We have been told that staff wanting to do Return to Work Duties will have to do them at District HQ and they do not intend to reimburse your travel costs, “you are getting an enhanced pay and you can fund your own travel”. We have since got an agreement that the travel distance reimbursement will be paid for travel to District HQ.
