Today the NZPFU issued the attached notice of Strike action.

  • The strike action will commence at 0100 hours on 13 June 2022.
  • Members are reminded that nothing changes in their workplace or the way they do their work before that date.

The NZPFU will be conducting meetings with Local Representatives on Tuesday to prepare for the strike action.  Other meetings will be notified so that members are successfully guided through the industrial action.

The NZPFU will hold a zoom meeting to provide information to those that did not attend one of the 29 membership meetings.  Details of that meeting will be provided next week.

NZPFU Members turned out in droves to 29 meetings held across the country over the past three weeks with 99% of those that voted rejecting the FENZ offer and 97.5% voted for the attached strike action (the pink omnibus vote).

We have notified FENZ of the resounding message from members and requested FENZ to change its position in the context of the membership’s unequivocal rejection of their offer.

In unity,
National Secretary
Wattie Watson
