Following the 4th Alarm fire at C C Interiors, Hannigan Drive, St. John’s, the Local draws members’ attention to NTM Ref: ALC-13-80 dated 23 December 2013 (copy attached).

The Union has been approached by FRM Butt to provide a representative to be a team member for the Operations Review of this incident. The Union has appointed Northern Branch President Mike Powell to fulfil this role.

Members are advised not to make any statement, or participate, in any interview pertaining to this incident without Mike Powell present.

Members are advised not to participate in any formal discussion, meeting, interview or review until the Union has confirmed that any Manager on the Review or Investigation Team is a trained investigator.

This does not preclude members participating in an Operational debrief, as would be the normal circumstance with any incident.
