The following was received from Christchurch and the Southern Branch.

Dear Boyd,

It was with concern and sadness your Christchurch and Southern Branch NZPFU brothers heard of the death of Jamie. We wish to extend our sincere condolences and sympathy to all who knew Jamie in the Auckland local, Northern Branch and of course his family.

In my Fire Service role I am the welfare officer for Region 4 and as such would feel privileged if I can play a small part in helping your colleagues as an independent confidential listening ear if anyone should wish to contact me.

City Rail Link Engagement

As members will be aware, several health and safety concerns were raised with Fire and Emergency by the Local with respect to the commissioning exercises undertaken at the City Rail Link.

Following the close of nominations for the election of the Central Branch positions of Branch Secretary, Branch President and Branch Vice President, I received one nomination for Branch Vice President and nominations for Branch President and Branch Secretary .

Following the close of nominations for the election of the Southern Branch positions of Branch Secretary, Branch President and Branch Vice President, I had received one nomination for each position.
