Notice to Auckland Local Members

It is with regret that the Auckland Local has received the resignation of Kevin (Mau) Barbara from the position of Committee Member.

"It is with great regret I wish to tender my resignation as a member of the committee of the Auckland Local of the NZPFU.

I am transferring to Southern Comcen, with the last day of work being 11th of May 2011.

I would just like to thank all members of the committee and Anne in the Union office for their help over the last 4 years with their advice in dealing with comcen matters.Mau Barbara

I am sure that Auckland Members will wish to join the Committee in thanking Mau for his dedication and hard work, and the contribution he has made to the Auckland Local, and wish him all the best at the Southern Comcen.

Yesterday’s notice (below) from District Commander Mackereth once again highlights the dire state of the Fire and Emergency fleet.

There are currently NO relief aerials available in the country to replace the Parnell aerial that has suffered a steering malfunction.
