“National will amend ACFC legislation to clarify cover for firefighters through an evidence-based presumptive list of cancers which arise from being a firefighter” according to the Party’s recently released Health Discussion document.

The document sets out the National Party’s health policy and includes a survey for the general public to comment on the health policy commitments.

NZPFU members are encouraged to visit the website, read the health policy (page 35 records the pledge for presumptive legislation for firefighters’ occupational cancer) and record support for this election commitment (question 69 of the survey).

The policy and survey can be accessed via https://www.national.org.nz/health.

In unity,
Wattie Watson
National Secretary
