Last week the NZPFU provided the advice received from our lawyer regarding the options FENZ has put to 592 members who have been contributing to complying Kiwisaver schemes as well as other non-complying compulsory schemes such as Fire Super.

That advice and previous relevant notices can be accessed here

Affected members have until the 13th August to notify of their preferred option and the changes will be made in the 21 August pay run.

We are aware that some will have been on leave and may have not accessed the information sent by FENZ.

FENZ has confirmed that they will “not be making any deductions for anyone who was away on leave when the letters were sent, and is still away”.  FENZ should know who is on leave but if anyone has concerns they should notify FENZ of their leave and when they will return and able to make a decision.

In unity,
Wattie Watson
National Secretary
